Hey There!

Here’s a little bit about us. We’re glad you’re here and we hope to meet you soon!

Derek

Derek Jamieson — Co-Founder

Born and raised on Cape Cod, Derek’s love for coffee runs deep — and local. With over a decade in the industry, he’s done it all: from green bean buying and roasting to quality control and sales for companies like Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters and Equal Exchange, along with countless hours behind the bar in cafés across MA.

For Derek, coffee has always been about people first. He believes every cup is an opportunity to slow down, see someone, and remind them they’re known and loved. Whether he’s chatting with guests over espresso, mentoring new baristas, or dreaming up new ways Glue can connect the community, he keeps the focus where it matters most — people over product.

When he’s not talking coffee or tinkering in the basement on his next project, Derek’s probably spending time with his wife — a proud matcha drinker in a coffee-loving household — and their four kids, who join him for morning cups more often than not. Their very first family outing with each new baby? A trip to Snowy Owl. For Derek, those simple, shared moments over a mug are what make coffee so much more than a drink — it’s connection in its purest form.

Evan

Evan Hutchinson — Co-Founder

Originally from North Carolina, Evan’s story started on a chicken farm — which, if you’ve met him, is probably the last place you’d guess. Over the years, he’s worn a lot of hats: musician, business owner, creative, and connector. He’s helped open several coffee shops and spent years in retail, always drawn to one thing — people.

Evan has a gift for making everyone feel seen. He’s the kind of person who can light up a room just by walking in and genuinely cares about the story behind every face he meets. Whether he’s pouring coffee, leading a song, or swapping stories with strangers-turned-friends, his heart for community runs deep.

Outside of Glue, you’ll find Evan writing and playing music, or out capturing photos — usually with a cup of coffee in hand and someone new to share it with. His approach to life (and coffee) is simple: listen well, love people, and stay curious.
